Faculty Updates

Thursday, July 23rd, 2015

We have some newsworthy updates about our super faculty members! From book reviews to magazine covers, here are some highlights:

Check out the new Boston Globe Magazine cover by Steve Brodner, who teaches “Boosted Visual Communication” here at SVACE! It comes on the heels of his Observer lampoon of Governor Cuomo, rich with references to King Joffrey Baratheon, King Kong, and more!

Bookdragon reviews The Whale in My Swimming Pool by Joyce Wan, who teaches “Greeting Card Design” here at SVACE! Bookdragon writes, “Joyce Wan’s bold, colorful style is in perfect cahoots with her delightful story of young ingenuity and tested patience.”

Finally, Viktor Koen designed a poster for the Philanthropy Poster Project Show at the 4th Stavros Niarchos Foundation International Philanthropy Conference. Get a glimpse of his creative process on Attic Child, his excellent and lively Tumblr blog.  Viktor teaches “Editorial Illustration” here at SVACE and you can also see him in the SVA MFA Illustration 30th Anniversary documentary!
