“This is the zig-zagging cattle chute before the execution,” tweeted Cliff Kuang, Editor of Fast Co.Design on the imminent closing of Print Magazine’s New York offices. Mediabistro reported that Print’s parent, F+W Media, is laying off the New York team, moving to Ohio, and merging Print with How magazine. “You remember what happened to I.D. when F&W did this in the 2000’s? Circ dropped by a third” warned Kuang in another tweet.
F+W Media Chairman and CEO David Nussbaum denies that Print is shutting down. However, F+W’s website announced a new COO and CFO this month, so who knows what’s in store?
